International Day of Women and Girls in Science - 2024

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is an annual observance adopted by the United Nations General Assembly to promote the full and equal access and participation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. The United Nations General Assembly passed resolution 70/212 on 22 December 2015, which proclaimed the 11th day of February as the annual commemoration of the observance. A theme is selected annually to highlight a particular focus and area of discussion around a focus point for gender equality in science.

Defence of the Master's Thesis 2024

At the Department of Laser Systems and Advanced Technologies, on January 16-19, the defense of dissertations of higher education applicants in the educational and professional program of the second (Master's) level of higher education "Engineering of Welding, Laser and Related Technologies" took place.

Nine master's degree students who successfully completed the curriculum were admitted to the defense.

The National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education on December 12, 2023 at its meeting No. 20 (49) in the presence of 20 members of the National Agency out of 21 considered the accreditation case No. 2112/АС-23 on the accreditation of an educational program (ID of the educational program in ЕДЕБО 53254) "Engineering of welding, laser and related technologies", branch of knowledge - 13 Mechanical engineering, specialty - 131 Applied mechanics, for the level of higher education Master.

Accreditation of EP at the second level of higher education

From October 12 to 14, 2023, the National Technical University of Ukraine "Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" will conduct an accreditation examination of educational and professional programs, including the EP "Engineering of welding, laser and related technologies" at the second level of higher education, specialty 131 - "Applied mechanics".
